Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement. It is a gentle, yet powerful complementary therapy that may be used alongside western medicine or other natural healing systems (i.e. Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, etc.). Reiki is made of two Japanese words: Rei – Spirit wisdom or the Higher Power Ki – Life Force Energy.
The life force energy is susceptible and responsive to thoughts and feelings. It becomes disrupted when we accept negative thoughts or feelings about ourselves (either consciously or unconsciously). These negative thoughts and feelings attach themselves to the energy field causing blockages and stagnation in the flow of life force energy. This prevents the optimal functioning of the organs, tissues and cells of the physical body.
Reiki heals by flowing gently through the affected parts of the energy field and charging them with positive energy. It raises the vibratory level of the energy field in and around the physical body where the negative thoughts and feelings are attached. This causes the negative energy to break apart and fall away, removing any blockages and energy stagnation. In doing so, Reiki clears and heals the energy pathways, thus allowing the life force energy to flow in a healthy and natural way. Reiki’s gentle energy is safe and can easily be adapted to most medical conditions. It may be used by people of all ages, including babies and children, pregnant mothers, surgical patients, those with poor health and the elderly in any situation.

Reiki can be done in face to face or via Distance healing, where the client and practitioner do not need to be present in the same room or even country for that matter. The beneficial effects of Reiki for children are numerous. It heals fear and anxiety and promotes feelings of safety, calmness and a healthy sense of well-being. Reiki also helps them develop self-confidence, the ability to get along with others and improves learning ability. It is soothing and promotes the healing process. It keeps children healthy and less prone to imbalances, and if they do get sick, it helps them deal with illness and recover more quickly!
